How The Top 14 Playoffs Work
The top two teams from the regular-season standings receive a direct berth into the semifinals.
That honor belongs to Toulouse and Montpellier this season.
The remaining playoff teams must survive an extra knockout round. Third-seeded Stade Français will host La Rochelle, while fourth-seeded Pau welcomes Racing 92. The winners advance to Marseille for the semifinals.

What Is At Stake?
For Toulouse, the postseason represents an opportunity to make history.
The defending champions have won the last three Top 14 titles and are attempting to become the first club in the professional era to win four consecutive French championships. They also own a record 24 league titles.
Montpellier enters the playoffs as one of Europe's hottest teams after winning the EPCR Challenge Cup in May and finishing second in the standings.
La Rochelle continues its pursuit of a first Top 14 title despite winning back-to-back Investec Champions Cups in 2022 and 2023. Pau seeks the biggest achievement in modern club history, while Racing 92 and Stade Français look to add another championship to their trophy collections.
Only one club will reach Paris and leave with the Bouclier de Brennus.
