URC Playoffs 2026 Highlights: Glasgow Warriors vs. Connacht Rugby5:29

The United Rugby Championship has confirmed the potential venues, dates and kickoff times for the 2026 Grand Final ahead of Saturday's semifinal action.

With the top four seeds advancing to the final four, only Glasgow Warriors, Leinster Rugby and the DHL Stormers remain eligible to host the championship match. The Vodacom Bulls can still reach the final, but their fourth-place finish in the regular-season standings means they would travel regardless of the semifinal results.

The announcement provides clarity for supporters, broadcasters and teams as the race for the title enters its final stages. While the finalists will not be confirmed until the conclusion of the semifinal round, the league has outlined every possible hosting scenario.

The decision also creates an unusual possibility. If Leinster reaches the final and earns hosting rights, the championship match would take place on a Friday night rather than the traditional Saturday slot due to venue availability in Dublin.

Glasgow Can Bring The Final To Murrayfield

Glasgow Warriors enter the semifinals as the No. 1 seed and remain in pole position to host the championship game.

Should the defending champions defeat the Vodacom Bulls, the Grand Final will be staged at Scottish Gas Murrayfield in Edinburgh on Saturday, June 20.

Kickoff would be set for 11 a.m. ET.

The Warriors previously confirmed Murrayfield as their playoff venue after regular home ground Scotstoun became unavailable because of preparations for the 2026 Commonwealth Games.

A Glasgow victory guarantees the title match remains in Scotland regardless of whether Leinster or the Stormers advance from the second semifinal.

Leinster Rugby's Path Leads To Croke Park

The most unique scenario involves Leinster Rugby.

If Glasgow loses to the Bulls and Leinster defeats the Stormers, the Irish province would host the Grand Final at Croke Park in Dublin on Friday, June 19.

Kickoff would be 2:30 p.m. ET.

The league confirmed that Croke Park is the only suitable venue available in the Dublin and Leinster region that weekend. As a result, the championship would move to Friday night rather than its traditional Saturday slot.

The venue has hosted major rugby occasions before and would provide a fitting stage for a title decider involving one of the competition's most successful clubs.

Stormers Could Bring The Trophy Match To Cape Town

The DHL Stormers remain the only South African team capable of hosting the final.

If the Stormers defeat Leinster and the Bulls knock off Glasgow, the championship match would be played at DHL Stadium in Cape Town on Saturday, June 20.

Kickoff would be 11 a.m. ET.

That scenario would create an all-South African Grand Final between the Stormers and Bulls, guaranteeing the URC trophy returns to South Africa for another season.

The Stormers previously hosted and won the inaugural URC Grand Final in Cape Town and would welcome another opportunity to play for a championship on home soil.

Three Cities, Three Possibilities

As the semifinals approach, the championship picture remains wide open.

Edinburgh, Dublin and Cape Town all remain in contention to host the biggest match of the URC season. The only certainty is that the Bulls will need to win away from home if they are to lift the trophy.

For Glasgow, Leinster and the Stormers, Saturday's semifinals represent more than a chance to reach the final. They are also battling for the right to bring the championship game to their supporters.

The final hosting picture will become clear once the final whistle sounds in the semifinal between Leinster and the Stormers, officially setting the stage for the 2026 BKT URC Grand Final.
