Glasgow Warriors open their URC playoff campaign at Scotstoun Stadium on Friday night against a Connacht Rugby side arriving in strong form and full of confidence after securing a postseason place.

Head coach Franco Smith welcomed the return of Scott Cummings to the Glasgow squad while emphasizing the challenge Connacht presents.

“Connacht will present a strong challenge tomorrow evening,” Smith said. “They have a well-drilled squad full of talent, and come here as one of the most in-form teams in the competition.”
Smith also pointed to the impact of the Scotstoun crowd in playoff rugby.
“We know the difference that the Warrior Nation can make, and we look forward to hearing them get behind the team at Scotstoun as we kick off the playoffs tomorrow night,” he said.
Connacht head coach Stuart Lancaster said reaching the playoffs was a target from the beginning of the season.
“Now we have to go out there and seize the opportunity,” Lancaster said. “Glasgow are a formidable opponent especially away from home, but we are excited by the challenge ahead of us.”
Glasgow Warriors vs. Connacht Rugby Kickoff Time
Glasgow Warriors host Connacht Rugby on Friday in a URC playoff match at Scotstoun Stadium in Glasgow. Kickoff is scheduled for 2:45 p.m. ET, with Adam Jones serving as referee.
