Glasgow Warriors earned the No. 1 seed in the United Rugby Championship for a reason.
The Warriors finished the regular season with 65 points and have been nearly unbeatable at Scotstoun Stadium over the last two seasons. Since the beginning of the 2023/24 campaign, Glasgow have lost only twice at home in URC play.
That doesn't count an epic Investec Champions Cup win over Toulouse in December and a win over the Saracens in January.
That home dominance matters heading into the URC playoffs, especially since the last playoff match in Scotstoun saw Glasgow lose to Toulon in the ICC quarterfinals.

Franco Smith’s side also enters the quarterfinals in strong form after winning consecutive matches against Cardiff Rugby and Ulster Rugby to close out the regular season. Before that, Glasgow demolished Leinster 38-17 at Scotstoun in one of the most impressive performances of the season.
George Horne remains one of the most dangerous players in the competition. He scored 68 points during the regular season and continues climbing the all-time URC try-scoring charts. Jamie Dobie and Gregor Hiddleston have also added finishing power, each scoring seven tries.
Defensively, Glasgow have shown they can overwhelm elite teams physically and force mistakes through line speed and breakdown pressure.
The path will not be easy. Leinster, the Bulls and Stormers all have championship-level rosters, but Glasgow, the 2024 URC Champion, enter the postseason with confidence, momentum and the biggest home-field advantage in the competition.
If the Warriors continue controlling territory and playing with tempo at Scotstoun, they may finally turn regular-season dominance into another URC title.
