Super Rugby Pacific and Japan Rugby League One are also well represented near the top, with the Hurricanes (6-1), Chiefs (6-2) and Saitama Wild Knights (13-1) all holding strong positions.

How The Rankings Work
These power rankings compare professional club teams across competitions using a rolling weekly rating model. Each result adjusts a team’s standing based on outcome, venue, scoring margin, competition level, and overall season form.
The model is built to reflect current strength rather than reputation alone. Recent results matter most, but season-long consistency still carries weight so that one result does not overwhelm the broader body of work.
Because clubs play in very different environments, competition strength is also built into the model. Cross-league and top-end tournament matches carry more value than standard domestic fixtures, while league-specific guardrails help keep the table realistic across competitions with different standards and sample sizes.
