The Gallagher PREM Rugby season resumes Friday with a marquee clash, as Bath Rugby hosts Saracens in a fixture that could shape the playoff race. 

With the final stretch of the campaign approaching, both sides enter with ambitions of securing a top-4 finish and building momentum at a critical stage.

Bath begins the round second in the table, driven by consistency and a strong attacking profile that has produced results across the season. 

With eight wins from 10 matches, Bath returns from the break with a settled core, including Ben Spencer at scrumhalf and Finn Russell orchestrating at fly-half. The midfield pairing of Max Ojomoh and Ollie Lawrence adds further continuity, while Alfie Barbeary anchors the back row in a matchup filled with physicality.

Saracens arrives looking to rediscover rhythm after an inconsistent run before the break and will bring a lineup packed with experience and international pedigree. 

Owen Farrell returns to the starting XV after contributing in a coaching role during the PREM Rugby Cup, partnering captain Ivan van Zyl in the halfbacks. Elliot Daly’s return at fullback and a completely reshaped front row underline the changes as Saracens aim to make an immediate statement.

Bath’s attacking pressure is reflected in their league-leading 135 entries into the opposition 22 and 178 possessions in the opposition half. 

Miles Reid’s 11 turnovers and league-best jackal numbers highlight their breakdown strength, while Henry Arundell’s 11.4 meters per carry adds explosiveness. 

Saracens counters with the league’s best retained kicking game at 24.4%, while Tom Willis leads the PREM with 36 dominant contacts, reinforcing the team's power-based approach.
