Ireland crushed England 42-21 at Twickenham, racing to a 22-0 lead behind Gibson-Park’s control and Baloucoune’s flash, capitalizing on English errors.

Ireland made a statement at Twickenham on Saturday, rolling past England 42-21 in Round 3 of the 2026 Six Nations.

England's pack, led by first-time starter Henry Pollock at No. 8, showed early intent, but handling errors and penalties repeatedly stalled promising opportunities, including multiple chances inside the five.

Jack Crowley opened the scoring with a penalty, and Ireland never let England back into the game. 

A quick restart from Jamison Gibson Park sparked the first try, with Robert Baloucoune’s linebreak helping create points soon after as Ireland surged to a 22-0 lead. 

England finally hit back through Fraser Dingwall late in the half, but Ireland struck immediately after the break, adding tries and two more Crowley penalties to stretch the gap beyond 40. 

England managed late scores, including Sam Underhill in the 75th minute, but Ireland’s control and finishing had already decided it.

England’s early mistakes set the tone, and Ireland capitalized, playing on the front foot for much of the match.

Jamison Gibson Park, Tadhg Beirne, Caelan Doris, Stuart McCloskey and Robert Baloucoune were among the standout performers in a dominant Irish display.

It hasn't quite gone as expected in London, as Ireland jumped to a 22-point lead behind tries from Robert Baloucoune, Tommy O'Brien and Jamison Gibson-Park, before England finally score in the 41st minute. 

It was a wild first half, with injuries, missed kicks, handling errors and  even a referee replacement. 

All to be expected when Ireland meet England.
