However, a bonus-point victory, combined with a Bristol Bears loss—or a Bordeaux defeat without a bonus point—would elevate Northampton into second place in the pool. That positioning could influence knockout matchups and home advantage considerations as the competition transitions into the Round of 16.

For the Scarlets, the stakes are more direct. 

The Welsh side remains winless in Champions Cup play but carries two bonus points and a favorable point-difference tiebreaker over the Vodacom Bulls. 

A bonus-point win would lift the Scarlets into the fourth, and final, playoff spot in the pool, while a win without a bonus point still would eliminate Pau from Challenge Cup contention. 

Seeking to become the first Welsh club to reach the Champions Cup Round of 16 since the Ospreys in 2023, the Scarlets face a defining test away from home.
