Castres fell 34-14 to Gloucester Rugby in Round 1, a result that exposed gaps the team will be eager to close quickly in front of home support at Stade Pierre Fabre.

Edinburgh, meanwhile, opened its campaign with a statement win, stunning Toulon 33-20 at Hive Stadium in Scotland. 

That performance reinforced the club’s growing confidence in European competition and extended a strong recent record against Castres. 

Edinburgh has won the last three meetings between the sides, and that history adds another layer of intrigue as the URC club looks to build consistency and secure another critical away result.
