Rugby Round-Up Champions Cup Review

The stage is set in Durban, South Africa, for a clash packed with history, intensity and high stakes.

Saracens heads to Durban on Dec. 13 to face off against the Sharks in Round 2 of the Investec Champions Cup.

Action kicks off at 10:15 a.m. ET from Kings Park. Catch the match live on FloRugby.

Saracens snapped its two-game losing streak with a 47-10 Round 1 victory over Clermont. 

After striking first with a try in the 10th minute, the Sarries held the lead for the remainder of the match. They kept scoring until the final minutes, with Theo Dan adding one last try in the 78th minute.

The Sharks took a loss against Toulouse in Round 1 but showed promise, despite the 56-19 score. 

Toulouse found early momentum with four tries in the first 24 minutes. However, the Sharks halted the surge, forcing a nearly 40-minute scoring drought from their opponents. The Sharks’ tenacity and defense were on full display.

In September, the pair played an invitational at Kings Park, where Saracens came away with a 38-26 win. 

After a strong Round 1 performance from the Sarries, and a gritty showing from the Sharks, the upcoming match promises to bring the heat.
