Ireland enters the clash on a dominant run over the Wallabies, winning their last four meetings, while Australia looks to avenge that streak and rebound from a recent upset defeat in Italy. 

Expect high tempo, physical collisions and electric Dublin energy on a crisp November night.

1. Ireland Chasing Fifth Straight Win Over Wallabies

Ireland has claimed six victories in its last seven tests against Australia, including four consecutive wins, matching its longest unbeaten run against the Wallabies (1958-1968).

What’s remarkable is how close these contests have been — every one of those six wins came by five points or fewer. 

Under Andy Farrell, Ireland’s ability to grind out tight matches has become a hallmark of the team's success. 

A fifth straight victory would underline Ireland's dominance in this rivalry.

2. Fortress Dublin: Ireland’s Home Record Stands Tall

Aviva Stadium has been a near-impenetrable stronghold for Ireland in recent years. 

The Irish have won 11 of their last 12 home games against Rugby Championship opposition, demonstrating remarkable consistency on home soil. 

The combination of a roaring Dublin crowd and Ireland’s structured style often proves too much for touring sides. 

With the Wallabies struggling for away form, the Aviva’s atmosphere could again play a decisive role.

3. Australia’s Away Form Under The Microscope

Australia has had a turbulent 2025, especially on the road. 

The Wallabies have lost their last four away tests against Six Nations opponents, a stark contrast to a previous run where they won three of four. 

Despite that, there are signs of resurgence under Joe Schmidt, highlighted by a comeback victory over South Africa in Johannesburg earlier this year — their first at Ellis Park in 62 years. 

Consistency, however, remains their biggest challenge.

For Ireland, Tadhg Beirne continues to be a game-changer at the breakdown and in open play, while Jamison Gibson-Park’s quick delivery fuels Ireland’s attacking rhythm. 

Dan Sheehan, one of the world’s most reliable hookers, anchors the set-piece. 

For Australia, Fraser McReight stands out as a defensive weapon, leading all Tier 1 players with 22 turnovers won this year. 

His contest with Beirne and Caelan Doris at the ruck could define the momentum.
