Toulouse Rugby Is The Team To Beat | Top 14 Club Of The Week
Toulouse routed Bordeaux-Bègles 56-13 in Round 5, reclaiming Top 14 dominance and earning FloRugby’s Top 14 Club of the Week honor.
Well, that was surprising.
The reigning champions of Europe were off to a rocky start even before Union Bordeaux-Bègles faced the reigning champions of France in Round 5. But no one really saw this coming, right?
Toulouse throttled UBB like it did in the 2024 Top 14 Final, winning the first match between the two French powerhouses since the epic 2025 Top 14 Final.
The score was 56-13, and it felt even worse than that. It was 35-3 at halftime in Toulouse.

Ange Capuozzo, Jack Willis and, of course, Thomas Ramos, helped Toulouse overwhelm UBB.
It was clinical. It was a sign that Toulouse—still without one of the world’s greatest players, Antoine Dupont—is the favorite to win any competition the team enters this season, health permitting.
Injuries and international roster gymnastics do have Toulouse with two losses already.
In fact, that’s the case for every team so far in a Top 14 table that saw the hottest team in the league, Bayonne, crushed by the new leader Pau. That Pau club still is without Argentina captain Julián Montoya, the big offseason addition.
Pau beat Bayonne 47-24 at home. And, while impressive, it wasn’t more so than Toulouse, which is the Top 14 Club of the Week for Round 5.
