The Glasgow Warriors return to Scotstoun Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 11, to host Dragons RFC in Round 3 of the BKT United Rugby Championship.
Franco Smith’s side is unbeaten at home in league play since early 2023 and will aim to maintain that streak behind captain Kyle Steyn and scrumhalf George Horne.
Smith said the week of preparation brought intensity and internal competition among players eager to earn selection.

“After a competitive training week, where each player has put his hand up to be involved, we look forward to running out at home again tomorrow night,” Smith said.
He noted that the night will carry added significance for players reaching major milestones.
“Alex has worked hard to put himself in the best possible position to make his debut for this club, while we are proud to see Johnny in line to make his 100th appearance for the club – he is a proud Warrior and reaching the century is a well-deserved milestone,” Smith said.
Smith also warned that the Dragons presents a serious challenge after the team's performance in Round 2.
“The Dragons arguably should have come away with victory over the Sharks last weekend, underlining their ability to cause problems for any team,” he said. “We know we will have to be at our best to meet them tomorrow night.”
Dragons RFC defense coach Dale MacLeod said the team embraces the challenge of traveling to one of the URC’s toughest venues.
“Glasgow are a very good side," MacLeod "They are a team with a lot of plays, a good kicking game and they play edges well. We’ve got to make sure we’re in the game at the 70-minute mark.
“We go with belief. There is no point being in the competition if we don’t think we can do a job. We go up there to put in a performance. We’re confident that we can take another step forward again.”
