Derby Weekend continues in the Gallagher PREM Rugby season, as the Bristol Bears welcome the Exeter Chiefs to Ashton Gate on Saturday, Oct. 11.

The Bears have reloaded their lineup with a wave of international experience, while Exeter arrives in form after a dominant Round 2 win.

British & Irish Lions prop Ellis Genge headlines Bristol’s returning stars and will start at loosehead. He’s joined by three Argentina internationals — Pedro Rubiolo, Santiago Grondona and Benjamin Elizalde — all back from Rugby Championship duty.

Elizalde, who debuted for Los Pumas this summer, starts at fullback, while Rubiolo and Grondona add size and mobility to the forward pack.

Captain Fitz Harding and center Jack Bates also return as Bristol looks to rebound from last week’s 50-17 loss to Saracens.

Oval Insights show that Bristol continues to rank among the league’s most dangerous attacking sides, leading the PREM in carries (332) and meters gained (1,118).

The Bears also have beaten a league-high 75 defenders, with Josh Carrington beating nine in the last round.

Exeter, by contrast, has thrived on set-piece control, recording 17 line-outs won and riding Immanuel Feyi-Waboso’s five tries and eight offloads to a strong start.
