The Glasgow Warriors enter the 2025-2026 United Rugby Championship season with momentum after finishing fourth in the league table last season and advancing to the semifinals before falling to Leinster. 

The campaign included 13 wins and 5 losses, cementing their place among the URC’s elite and continuing a strong recent run of playoff appearances. Glasgow also carried their form into Europe in recent years, reaching the 2023 EPCR Challenge Cup Final.

Founded out of the Glasgow District side in 1996, the club has undergone rebrands before settling on the Warriors name in 2005. Their defining achievement remains the 2014–15 Pro12 title, the first major trophy won by a Scottish professional team. They added a second league crown in 2024, further embedding themselves as Scotland’s powerhouse. The Warriors’ reputation has been built on physicality in the pack, attacking flair from the backs, and supplying Scotland with internationals like Finn Russell, Stuart Hogg, and more recently, Sione Tuipulotu and Huw Jones.

Statistically, Glasgow bring balance. They ranked second in the URC in points scored (523) and tries (78), also leading the league in defenders beaten (562) and clean breaks (186), underscoring their attacking pedigree. Defensively, they made 3,394 tackles with an 82% success rate. In the set piece, they won 92% of scrumsand 86% of lineouts. Their discipline, however, requires improvement, with 203 penalties conceded—among the highest in the league.
