The Hollywoodbets Sharks open the 2025-26 United Rugby Championship season as one of the most star-studded squads in the competition. Anchored by World Cup winners Siya Kolisi, Eben Etzebeth, and Bongi Mbonambi, the Durban-based side is loaded with international talent. 

Last season, however, Sharks finished mid-table, undone by inconsistency and discipline — they conceded 185 penalties and collected 15 yellow cards, the most in the competition.

Still, the talent level is undeniable. The Sharks scored 473 points and 60 tries and boast one of the most dynamic backlines in the URC, with Makazole Mapimpi and Aphelele Fassi offering finishing power. Kings Park remains one of the toughest venues for visiting sides, and the schedule offers no shortage of heavyweight clashes.
