Union Bordeaux Bègles Rugby (15-1-10) has built a reputation for challenging at the highest levels of French and European rugby. But in the Top 14, the road is always long, with a demanding schedule that runs from September to June. 

For Bordeaux, the campaign begins at home with a derby against La Rochelle and quickly accelerates with clashes against Clermont, Toulouse and Lyon.

The club’s pursuit of its first Brennus Shield will again depend on consistency. Back-to-back finals have proven Bordeaux belongs in the title conversation, but this season’s calendar will test depth. International call-ups and the overlapping Champions Cup will stretch the squad. Coaches will rely on stars like Matthieu Jalibert, Damian Penaud and Maxime Lucu to steer the team through the toughest weeks.

At Chaban-Delmas, the supporters have built one of the loudest atmospheres in France, and home fixtures against rivals could define the season. The October showdown against Toulouse is already circled as a pivotal date.

With the Champions Cup trophy in hand, UBB now looks to add a French title to its record.
