All Blacks Turn To Jordie Barrett, Who Delivers In Sweep Of France Rugby
All Blacks Turn To Jordie Barrett, Who Delivers In Sweep Of France Rugby
New Zealand swept France Rugby after the French defense forced the All Blacks to play Jordie Barrett, who made one of the biggest plays of the match.

Jordie Barrett wasn’t supposed to play in the third test match of July against France.
But Les Bleus’ defense called for drastic measures from the All Blacks.
Barrett delivered one of the best passes of the series in the 76th minute, setting up a Brodie McAlister try that sealed a win closer than the score suggests — 29-19 — in Hamilton, New Zealand, on July 19.

Even with the added firepower, the French defense kept New Zealand from pulling away for 18 minutes after Du’Plessis Kirifi’s try in the 58th minute finally gave the All Blacks the lead.
After France’s defense held New Zealand time and time again, Barrett burst through the line in the 75th minute and dished the ball to McAlister to seal the win.
It ends a three-match series between the two squads, as the No. 2 team in the world completed the expected sweep against a No. 4-ranked French side missing many of its top players.
France’s next match will be against South Africa in November, while the All Blacks prepare for a trip to Argentina in August for The Rugby Championship.

At the 44-minute mark, both sides began reshaping their front rows in a coordinated wave of substitutions aimed at freshening up the forward pack for the second half.
New Zealand made a single change, bringing on George Bower in place of Ethan de Groot at loosehead prop. Bower’s introduction likely was aimed at injecting mobility and reinforcing the scrum against a powerful French front.
France, meanwhile, executed a full overhaul of their front-row trio:
- Demba Bamba replaced Rabah Slimani at tighthead prop.
- Gaëtan Barlot came on for Pierre Bourgarit at hooker.
- Paul Mallez took over from Baptiste Erdocio at loosehead prop.

What Does AI Predict In The All Blacks Vs. France Third Test Match? We Asked.
So we asked Chat GPT who it thinks will win today.
Here's what it said:
Given the All Blacks’ form, squad confidence, and the sheer weight of a 2–0 series lead, they are strong favorites, especially resting key players while maintaining momentum. If they click in the forwards and midfield, expect a modest win margin (10–15 points).
France, however, have the talent and the pride to disrupt, especially with the emotional drive to hand the All Blacks their first Hamilton loss—or at least make the match truly competitive.
Prove the robot wrong, Les Bleus.
