Springboks dominate Georgia 55-10 in Nelspruit. Marnus van der Merwe scored twice in his debut, Kolisi returned and Edwill van der Merwe grabbed a brace.

The Springboks pummeled Georgia in Nelspruit for their fourth win of the summer and third official test win. 

South Africa took a dominant win over the Lelos, with a final score of 55-10.

After bulldozing through Barbarians and Italy, the Boks welcomed the Georgian team to Mbombela Stadium, and the Lelos got off to a hot start. 

Georgia scored within two minutes of the start of the match but was unable to muster another try the rest of the game. The Lelos did notch a penalty goal in the 28th minute. 

Siya Kolisi made his return to the Boks before being forced off with a head injury assessment early. He would return and play the rest of the game. 

Marnus van der Merwe scored two tries in his debut, and Edwill van der Merwe scored two more, for back-to-back braces for the wing.

Spingboks and Georgia have had only one meeting prior to today, which came on July 2, 2021. 

At the time, it was the Springboks first match after winning the 2019 Rugby World Cup. Nearly 20 months went by between the World Cup final and their test against the Lelos. 

Georgia and the Boks were supposed to play a second test in 2021, but it was canceled before SA's tests against the British & Irish Lions.
