Wales Rugby Snaps 18-Game Losing Streak Against Japan
The Welsh Rugby team hadn't won a match since the 2023 Rugby World Cup, losing 18 straight and dropping out of the top 10 of the World Rankings.
The misery is over for Wales Rugby fans.
After one of the worst years in the history of the Wales national team in 2024, and followed by allowing Japan to rally for a win to start the summer season, the long nightmare is over.
Wales snapped its 18-match losing streak with a 31-22 win over Japan in the second match of its Asian tour July 12.

It wasn't easy.
Wales led 21-3 but saw Japan score late in the first half and cut the score to 24-15 with 22 minutes left, and then 24-22 with 18 minutes left.

Wales fired legendary coach Warren Gatland midway through the Six Nations and turned to Cardiff Rugby coach Matt Sherratt to be the interim coach.
If Sherratt wants the full-time job, but all indications show Wales is seeking another option, this win helps, especially coming against veteran international coach Eddie Jones, who is the former coach of the English and Australia national teams.
