'Ardie Savea-Style Player' Henry Pollock: Future Of England Rugby
The 2025 FloRugby Top 100 Rugby Players in the World leads with Henry Pollock at No. 100. It may be the lowest he'll ever be ranked.
Henry Pollock is the future of England Rugby, that part is clear.
The question is, after the 20-year-old star from the Northampton Saints cracked the FloRugby Top 100 Rugby Players in the World list, just how high will Pollock be ranked next year?
“With a knack for rising to the moment, he looks every bit the generational talent English rugby has been waiting for,” FloRugby’s Philip Bendon wrote of the star.
Pollock already has led England to a Six Nations title, albeit the U20 title, and in May, he played in his first Investec Champions Cup. In June, he became the youngest player since the British and Irish Lions started in 1888 to be named to the team.

Yes, the arrow is up for the No. 100-ranked player in the world. And it looks as if 2025 is just the beginning.
“I think the ceiling is pretty much as high as any player in the game,” Bendon said before the Investec Champions Cup. “The biggest thing for Pollock will be just sort of keeping his feet on the ground.”
As England begins its summer tour, where it will face No. 5-ranked Argentina twice in July (both matches are streaming on FloRugby), it may be the last matches played without Pollock for the next decade-plus.
“I would suspect he'll be England captain within five years,” Bendon said. “Even when he isn't captain, he's a key leader.
“And there's been a lot of interesting content coming out of the Saints of late, and you see how much he talks, which for a young guy, that's huge.”
Bendon does have a player comp for Pollock, and may be the most striking comp on the whole list.
“I can envision him arguably being another Ardie Savea-style player,” Bendon said, “A do-it-all sort of player who can play in the backs and the forwards and cover every sort of spot. So yeah, I think he'll be phenomenal.”
