Both the Northampton Saints and Union-Bordeaux Begles have suffered injuries this season, but recent updates may change the fate of their matchup.
As the 2025 Champions Cup Final looms, set to take place Saturday, May 24, the Northampton Saints and Union-Bordeaux Bégles each hope to see a full, healthy roster following some key injuries.
For the Bordeaux, the team could see the return of one of its most important players just in time for the bout with Northampton.

UBB head coach Yannick Bru confirmed Tuesday that winger Damian Penaud will be available Saturday after suffering from an ankle injury.
Penaud limped off the field in Bordeaux's 35-18 semifinal win over Toulouse on May 4 in what seemed to be a season-ending situation. But now, the 28-year-old looks to continue making strides toward helping Bordeaux to its first Champions Cup win, as he boasts 21 tries for 105 points.
This will arguably not bode well for Northampton.
The Saints saw three men go down with injuries in their 28-24 victory over Saracens last weekend during Premiership play.
Curtis Langdon, James Ramm and Alex Coles are all likely won't return for the Champions Cup Final, according to Northampton head coach Phil Dowson, and they will join Juarno Augustus on the bench. Augustus was injured during training prior to the Saracens matchup.
Langdon, Ramm and Coles were significant forces in the Saints' Champions Cup semifinal win over Leinster, with Ramm recording a game-high 14 carries and Coles making a game-high 17 tackles.
Northampton will have to find a way to win without some of its best competitors, while Bordeaux might have just been given the ultimate upper hand.
