The 2025 BKT United Rugby Championship Playoffs have been confirmed, with all eight postseason contenders locked in after a thrilling conclusion to Round 18.

Top-seeded Leinster headlines the bracket after securing the No. 1 spot with a strong regular season finish. Leinster will host the Scarlets, who clinched the eighth, and final, playoff position, at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium on Saturday, May 31.
Also hosting quarterfinal matches are the Vodacom Bulls (No. 2), Hollywoodbets Sharks (No. 3) and Glasgow Warriors (No. 4). Each of the higher seeds will enjoy home-field advantage in what promises to be a dramatic opening round of playoff rugby.
The action kicks off Friday, May 30, as Glasgow welcomes the fifth-seeded DHL Stormers to Scotstoun Stadium in what is expected to be a fiercely contested clash between Scottish and South African powerhouses.
Saturday’s slate begins in Pretoria, where the Bulls take on seventh-seeded Edinburgh at Loftus Versfeld.
That contest is followed by Leinster vs. Scarlets in Dublin and then a massive showdown in Durban, as the Sharks battle sixth-seeded Munster at Kings Park.
In a format designed to reward regular-season performance, the top four finishers enjoy home advantage in the quarterfinals. However, past URC history suggests that nothing is guaranteed - none of the previous No. 1 seeds have ever gone on to win the title. In fact, last year’s champion, Munster, lifted the trophy as the fifth seed, while the Stormers and Warriors claimed it in 2022 and 2024 as second and fourth seeds, respectively.
Semifinal matchups will follow on June 7, with the winners of QF1 vs. QF4 and QF2 vs. QF3 battling for spots in the URC Grand Final on June 14.
