Now, the teams will travel to Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales, for the championship match, with UBB playing in its first Champions Cup Final, and Northampton returning for the first time in 14 years.

Who Are The Teams In The 2025 Investec Champions Cup Final?
The Northampton Saints defeated Leinster 37-34 in an upset for the ages, taking down the dominant Irish side in Dublin.
Leinster went into the match as a 21-point favorite, but the Saints never wavered, with star winger Tommy Freeman leading his team to victory.
The Saints are looking for redemption, as the last time they reached the final (2011), they fell to Leinster. Now, they’ve dethroned Leinster and are looking for the bigger picture, winning the championship.
The Saints already pulled off the biggest upset of the season and now have just 80 minutes standing between them and the trophy.
In 2011, the final for Northampton ended in heartbreak, with Leinster orchestrating a second-half comeback that saw the squad score 28 unanswered points, while holding the Saints scoreless.
The current iteration of the Saints already proved they can hang with the best by taking down Leinster, but Union Bordeaux-Bègles still stands in their way.
To reach the final for the first time, Bordeaux-Bègles dismantled the defending champions on their home turf, destroying Toulouse 35-18. UBB thwarted Toulouse’s one attempt at a comeback and now will play for the Champions Cup trophy for the first time.
This UBB defeat of Toulouse was the third of the season, and they now have 80 minutes to continue their dominance.
UBB started early against Toulouse, with star Pete Samu taking a try the length of the field, just six minutes in and held strong, holding off a Toulouse comeback and allowing just one second-half try.

Principality Stadium, also known as Millennium Stadium, is the home of Welsh Rugby and in the heart of the United Kingdom in Cardiff.
The final is the second fixture of a busy weekend in European rugby, as the EPCR Challenge Cup final will take place Friday, May 23, one day before Champions Cup in the exact same place.

This will be the first championship match since the 2019-2020 season that will not feature La Rochelle, Toulouse or Leinster and is uncharted territory for this generation of each club.
