What England Needs to Do to Win The 2025 Guinness Six Nations

England heads into the final weekend of the 2025 Six Nations with a shot at reclaiming the championship, but Steve Borthwick’s side needs more than just a win over Wales - they need a favor from Scotland.

Currently one point behind France, England must secure a bonus-point victory in Cardiff and hope that Scotland can upset Les Bleus in Paris.

Given France’s dominant points difference, England’s best chance is to move ahead on match points, rather than relying on tiebreakers.

The equation is straightforward: a bonus-point win over Wales would push England to 21 points, ensuring the team stays ahead of Ireland, regardless of their result in Rome.

If France then loses without a bonus point, Borthwick’s side will claim its first title since 2020.

However, England's inconsistent form has cast doubt over the squad's ability to secure a dominant win.

While the English edged France earlier in the tournament, they also struggled against Italy and Ireland.

Meanwhile, Wales - despite a poor campaign - will be eager to derail its old rivals on home soil.

If England wins without a bonus, it still could take the title, if France loses without scoring four tries.

A draw, or even a defeat with two bonus points, keeps England in the conversation, but only if France and Ireland also stumble.

With the stakes sky-high and the pressure mounting, England faces a defining test in Cardiff.

If England can deliver, all eyes will turn to Paris for the final twist in this year’s Six Nations race.
