The 2027 Men's Rugby World Cup will be held in Australia and will feature an expanded 24-team format. 

The RWC expanded in 2023, adding four more teams -- the first expansion since 1999.

Immediately following the Rugby World Cup 2023, a dozen teams already had qualified, including title-holder South Africa and 2027 host Australia. 

The remaining spots will be decided through regional competitions, playoffs and a final qualification tournament.

• Europe (4 qualifiers): Top 4 from the 2025 Rugby Europe Championship
• Africa (1 qualifier): Winner of the 2025 Rugby Africa Cup
• Asia (1 qualifier): Winner of the 2025 Asia Rugby Championship
• South America (1 qualifier): Winner of the 2025 Sudamérica Rugby Championship
• Pacific (3 qualifiers): Top 3 (excluding Fiji & Japan) from the 2025 Pacific Nations Cup
• Final Qualification (2 qualifiers): Final Qualification Tournament with four teams.
