A  week before the 2023 Rugby World Cup began, Fiji stunned the sport with a win over England in a RWC warmup game. It was one of the biggest wins in Fiji Rugby history at the time in what has been a whirlwind year for Fiji. 

But now its match against England counts as the two squads meet again with more at stake.

England, the winner of Pool D, faces Fiji, which advanced to knockout stage despite losing to Portugal in the final Pool C game. Fiji scored a massive win over Australia in September to help reach the knockout stage. 

England, meanwhile, cruised through pool play to advance. 

The match is the third of four across Oct. 14 -15 in France. The winners will advance to the semifinals the following weekend. The loser will be eliminated.
