The No. 1 team in the world, Ireland Rugby, faces the legendary All Blacks of New Zealand in one of the most anticipated games of the first weekend of the knockout stage at the 2023 Rugby World Cup on Oct. 14. 

As the championship field is whittled down to four teams this weekend, two of the world’s most premier national teams won’t be moving further in the bracket.

Ireland Rugby, the winner of Pool B, faces New Zealand, the runner-up in Pool A. The All Blacks are the No. 4-ranked rugby team in the world, but lost its first-ever RWC pool game to France on Sept. 8. 

The match is the second of four across Oct. 14 and 15 in France. The winners will advance to the semifinals the following weekend. The loser will be eliminated.
