The 2023 Rugby World Cup will feature the best national teams in the world competing for the 11th time since in 1987. 

France is playing host for the tournament for the second time, though this will be the third time country has hosted matches. France hosted the event in 2007 and served as co-host with other European nations in 1991.

This year,  the favorite to win the event is likely the World's No.1 ranked team, Ireland, who has never won the Rugby World Cup. Ireland is trying to make history as the squad has never finished in the top-four at the event. 

The action will begin with pool play on Sept. 8 with France and New Zealand in the first Rugby World Cup game.
