Road To Gold: Mayssa Bastos Claims Fourth European Title
Road To Gold: Mayssa Bastos Claims Fourth European Title
Mayssa Bastos cruised to her fourth European title with two incredible performances over the weekend in Paris, France
Mayssa Bastos is simply a machine.
The Unity Jiu-jitsu representative was able to implement her beautiful, technical game to win the Light-Feather division at the IBJJF 2023 European Championships and officially began her grand Slam campaign.
She was able to win both matches in Paris via points, running up 18 points in her first match against Naomi Matthews and capturing the gold medal after besting Brenda Larissa 7-4. This was Mayssa's fourth European title as a Black Belt, and this time she was able to showcase her ever-improved passing game combined with her excellent guard work.
We should see Mayssa again at the Pan Championships in Florida this March.
