Major League Rugby will have a team from Austin, Texas, for the 2018 season with the launch of the newly named Austin Elite Rugby.

Elite Rugby Management was created by the owners of Huns Rugby Management -- Christopher Bugge, Richard Osborn, Thierry Daupin, and former USA Eagles captain Todd Clever. ELM has also welcomed Austinite Christophe Lavigne to its list of owners.

The core group of Austin Elite Rugby players will come from the Huns Rugby Management 2017 USA Rugby D1 National Championship team and will be reinforced by local, national, and international talent.

Austin Elite Rugby will host its first combine on October 14. Players interested in trying out for the team are requested to register at austineliterugby.com/combine.

Austin Elite Rugby will be introducing rugby to the community through its Rugby 101 program, which creates relationships with regional middle school programs and after-school programs through the YMCA, Breakthrough Austin, and other organizations.

Representing an area from Austin to Waco, College Station, and San Antonio; Austin Elite Rugby will develop a strong relationship with local rugby clubs. The Austin Elite Rugby Academy has also been created to help young talent achieve their goals and offers a pathway to professional rugby.

Preseason games will commence in February 2018 with the full schedule being announced in due course. Join our mailing list to stay informed on season tickets, team announcements, and a host of exciting developments.
