The Belmont Shore U18s took the Boys U18 Open bracket at the NAI 7s, going 6-0 on the weekend in Salt Lake City.

Jeremiah Munoz was a standout for the team and took player of the game in the final.

Shore also got some big performances from Shawn Winston, Ryan Dowgiewicz, Graeme Tanaka, Michael Levin, and Jonathan Vidyarphi.

Coach Tony Balasuriya said it was an "exceptional performance" overall by the team.

Belmont Shore defeated Utah Lions 29-5 in the opening game on Friday, and followed that up with a 24-0 shutout of Brand X and a 35-7 defeat of the South Panthers.

On Saturday, Belmont Shore beat the Mambas 42-5 and the Celtic Barbarians 33-15 to finish 5-0 in pool play. The top two teams played off for the championship, and that was Belmont Shore and Mambas, which beat everyone except Belmont Shore.

In the final, Shore rolled over the Mambas 33-7.

Celtic Barbarians took 3rd over Brand X 21-5, and the South defeated the Utah Lions 36-12 to take the Plate.
