The Eagle Impact Rugby Academy ended its summer schedule on a high note this weekend in Ontario.
On Saturday, the EIRA U16s won their third straight game against Ontario U16s 24-19; the scores over the five days for those two teams were 27-21, 24-21, and 24-19. Then the U17s/U18s defeated Ontario U18s 29-15 to take that series two games to one.
"We are very proud of the boys and thrilled with the development of the players across all the teams this summer," EIRA coach Brendan Keane said. "For the teams in Ontario to take on the challenge of playing three games [each] in five days and go 5-1 between the two teams speaks to the commitment of the athletes and coaches to the process and their mental and physical toughness."

Scrumhalf Max Clark, who plays his school rugby in England; lock wing Ultan Horrigan (Georgetown Prep); center Matt Start (Myers Park); and fullback Cian Messner (Penn High School) were part of an impressive backline performance. Messner kicked some tough conversions on the day. Up front, lock Matt Gelhaus of Walnut Hills, Ohio, was a force.
