The 2017 Girls High School Rugby National Invitational Championships take place May 19-21 at the Moose Rugby Grounds in Elkhart, IN.

The first girls' National Invitational Championships were held in 2000 and involved six teams. As a result of increasing competition and the desire for a venue to challenge top high school programs, the event has expanded into multiple divisions of competition and has, like the boys competition, now split into high school and club.

The 2016 podium in the club competition had the Sacramento Amazons winning the national title, Fallbrook Warriors finishing runner-up, and United Girls Rugby taking third place. Along with last year's podium, there will be schools DI and DII bracket.

All matches will be 45 minutes long (22 1/2-minute halves) to fit into the World Rugby guidelines of limiting players to 90 minutes of rugby in a day. Because of that, there will be no overtime. Instead, tie games will immediately go to kicks.

Schedules and other information can be found here.

That same weekend, the Boys High School Nationals will be live-streamed on FloRugby from Swope Soccer Village in Kansas City, MO.
