The Texas HS Championships come down to four teams this weekend, and the showdown will be shown live on Florugby.com.

Westlake takes on the Dallas Harlequins Colts, a team that has weathered a rough start to win their conference. And Woodlands plays Cy Fair. 

The semifinals and the final games will be live-streamed on FloSports.

These four teams have been at the top for most of the season, although the Colts had to claw a little to get there. The Dallas team started 2-3, but then reeled off five straight league victories, including a nice 51-26 revenge win over Allen, a team that beat the Colts 26-22 earlier in the season. 

Westlake beat just about everyone they met, including the Colts back in mid-February, and a 29-8 defeat of Austin-area rivals Lake Travis. Head Coach Jason Spodick likes how his team is working together. The Chaps are getting the forwards to the ball quickly, and as a result, they keep the phases popping quickly and the defenses backpedaling.

Cy Fair went 9-1 in league play but didn’t always look comfortable. Two wins over Katy saw them through, however, and then this past weekend they slammed a very good Allen team 50-14. Keoni Francis is a talented back who makes plays, but it’s the Cy Fair forwards that are really making it happen.

They play the only team undefeated in league play The Woodlands. The Houston-area team has defeated Westlake, Cy Fair, Katy, and St. Pius, and as often as not scored more than 50.

"Things are going pretty well for us," said Woodlands Head Coach Phil Beck. "The teams are all in the playoffs for a reason. It's not an easy road. We played Cy Fair before and we beat them, but they have drastically improved since then. We don't count them as an easy target at all."

Beck said his players are excited to play for a state title, and to play with the FloSports Live Stream, but they also need to stay in control.

"We’ve got a lot of leaders on our team," said Beck. "We know this would be a great way to finish for the season, but we're looking at it all in terms of a block of minutes. We get through one set of 70 minutes, and then we go onto the next. We get through the first set on Saturday, and then look at the next one."
