The Austin Huns want to be one of the country's top elite club teams, and the addition of Peter Malcolm is their newest way of showing it.

Malcolm, a 6-foot-1, 225-pound hooker, is no stranger to playing at the highest level and has four caps as a member of the USA Eagles. A three-time All-American, Malcom played collegiately at Wheeling Jesuit University in West Virginia and was selected to the U-20 All-American team to compete at the Junior World Trophy in 2014.

Malcom's abilities are not limited to the hooking position. The Parkland, Florida, native split time at flanker for his previous team, the Ohio Aviators in PRO Rugby, and has toured with the USA Falcons, the U.S.'s developmental sevens team. He can also play back-row, adding to the deep talent pool that the Huns are creating.

"As I was researching hookers in the USA, I ran across Peter," Huns head coach Eugene Eloff said. "After watching some of his films, seeing him compete in America's Rugby Championship, and meeting him in person, I knew he was the right fit for the Austin Huns. He is young, has an outgoing personality, is a great thrower and scrummager. Peter will fit the Austin Huns perfectly."
