Benetton Rugby Set To Sign Italian-Eligible Son Of Australian Rugby Legend
Harlequins rugby player Louis Lynagh, who is the son of Australian Rugby legend Michael Lynagh, is reportedly set to join URC side Benetton Treviso.
Italian United Rugby Championship team Benetton reportedly is set to sign back-three player Louis Lynagh from Gallagher Premiership side Harlequins.
Based on reporting in Rugbypass, Lynagh will depart Harlequins when his contract comes to an end at the conclusion of this season.

Previously a member of Eddie Jones’ England training squads, the 23-year-old remains eligible for Australia, Italy and England, having never been capped.
Completing a move to Treviso should indicate that Lynagh sees his international future in the blue of Italy, having previously been approached by former Italian head coach Kieran Crowley.
Born in Treviso while his father, Wallabies legend Michael, was playing for Benetton, Louis will join a star-studded back line that includes Rhyno Smith, Tommaso Menoncello, Malakai Fekitoa, Paolo Odogwu, Jacob Umaga and Alessandro Garbisi.
Under the tutelage of Italian test centurion Marco Bortolami, Benetton is second on the URC table with just a single loss through the opening nine rounds.
This successful run through the first half of the season has seen the Treviso club supply the bulk of Italy’s Guinness Six Nations squad with 17 representatives.
Should Louis go on to represent the Azzurri, it could pose an interesting family dynamic, as his younger brother Tom is plying his trade with his father’s other team, the Queensland Reds.
