FloRugby's Hot List of top high school No. 8s breaks the rules.

We have been running 25 players per position, meaning if there are, say, two props on the field, we run a Hot List of 50 players, but there is only one hooker on the field at one time, so we list only 25. The No. 8 Hot List, therefore, should be a list of 25 players. But this position is kind of an anomaly, because it's a great position to put your most athletic big guy or your biggest good athlete. He gets the ball in his hands, and if he's tall and strong and mobile, he can get a lot done at No. 8.

This is especially true with under-19 scrum rules, which limit a scrum shove to 1.5 meters. That means you can sacrifice a bit of push in the scrum (maybe) to have your game-changer loose at the back of the scrum. So, as a result, there are a lot of good No. 8s out there, and we expended this list to 50.
