If you need to count on someone to make a try-saving tackle or force a turnover, "Mani" is your man.

Austin Huns captain Lomani "Mani" Tongotongo is this week's Man of the Match after leading the Huns to a 40-19 road win over the Dallas Reds this past Saturday. After falling behind 7-0 early, Tongotongo scored and assisted on back-to-back tries to help the Huns pull away in the first half. With their strong performance against the Reds, the Huns claimed the top spot in the Red River Rugby Conference standings with 25 points overall -- four ahead of the Reds and rival Austin Blacks.

Get to know "Mani"

They don't call him "money" for nothing, Tongotongo is a 5-foot-11, 245-pound force to be reckoned with at inside center. He was born in the Tonga and raised in New Zealand. He loves to play rugby for the enjoyment and the camaraderie of his teammates. He has seven siblings, four brothers and three sisters. His favorite place to eat is KFC (Mani, c'mon man. That's not healthy!). Believe it or not his most embarrassing moment was knocking the ball on while in the try-zone. A talent that most people don't know about him is that he was a DJ.

The Austin Huns return home to take on the Glendale Raptors in a Major Rugby Championship battle at 3:30 PM CDT on Saturday, April 15.
