RBS 6 Nations: Ireland Spoils England's Slam In Finale
Coming into the final round of the RBS Six Nations Championship, England was unbeaten and looking to become the first team to win back-to-back Grand Slams since Italy joined the competition in 2000. Second-place Ireland, meanwhile, was hoping to spoil the English party in Dublin.

England entered Saturday on a 11-match winning streak in the Six Nations and the title already secured, but Ireland took a stand and provided an unforgettable finale to this year's tournament.

Ireland's giant-killing squad scored the only try of the match in the 24th minute when Ian Henderson rolled over from a maul to give the hosts a 10-3 at halftime.

England clawed back in a back-and-forth second half behind a pair of Owen Farrell penalties. As the final minutes ticked off the clock, the Six Nations champions were given one more possession to grab the win but needed 80 meters to go for the try. Ultimately, a knock-on ended the game, and England was left in the odd position of losing a match but sill celebrating a title.

France 20, Wales 18

At Stade de France, Paris

In a marathon of a finale in Paris, France sealed a third-place finish in this year's tournament with a 100th-minute try by Damien Chouly.

Wales had a sixth straight win over France within reach after Leigh Halfpenny booted his sixth penalty to give the visitors an 18-13 lead at the end of full time. However, a flurry of penalties allowed France to march down the field and clinch the win with Chouly's try and a conversion from Camille Lopez.

Alongside its penalty woes, a depleted Wales team also struggled with injuries and saw Jake Ball, Alun-Wyn Jones, and Scott Baldwin all leave the field before the match ended. The tournament-ending loss slid Wales into fifth place, ahead of just winless Italy.

For Italy, the final match of this year's Six Nations meant one more chance at avoiding the wooden spoon and an 11th straight loss. However, a determined Scotland team that scored four tries en route to a bonus-point victory proved to be too much to handle and relegated the Italians to back-to-back winless campaigns.

With the bonus-point victory, Scotland matched Ireland and France with 14 points in the standings but had to settle for fourth place due to tiebreakers. The Scots bonus-point try came with only 10 minutes left when Allister Hogg notched his fourth assist, this time to Tommy Seymour on an overlap pass down the right wing. Hogg not only assisted all of Scotland's tries on Saturday but also made a couple try-saving tackles in the defensive end as well.
